The Calcutta Tea Traders Association (CTTA) is the only licensed and official
organizer of the public tea auctions in Kolkata. Constituted in 1886, it is a vibrant organization of tea buyers, brokers and sellers at Kolkata with over 1300 members today. |

This CTTA website offers you the weekly Tea Market Report, quotations and statistics. It has sale information, news updates, recently issued circulars and official notices on the Bulletin Board. The website also gives a brief History of the Association and includes some of the Rules which govern the Kolkata tea trade.

The weekly public tea auction takes place on Monday and Tuesday at Nilhat House, 11 R.N. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata 700001.

| Some Facts about CTTA |
- The first tea auction in India was held in Kolkata on 27th December 1861.
- Upto 1886, tea auctions were held under the auspices of the Calcutta Tea Brokers Association. From 1887, tea auctions were brought under the general jurisdiction of the Calcutta Tea Traders Association.
- Kolkata is the worlds oldest functional tea auction center and handles around 95 million kilograms of tea annually.

About CTTA Rules |
The CTTA rules were framed in 1886 and these rules, added to and amended from time to time, govern the Kolkata tea trade to this day.
